This Hostile Existence is a 5-piece metal/hardcore band with a fierce, solid sound. Based in Connecticut, This Hostile Existence is comprised of Matt Peterson/Vocals, Mike Vitello/Guitar, Jayme Cantin/Guitar, Denny Stecholz/Bass, and Matt Frost/Drums. Matt Frost is the former drummer for Flu (also with Sling Slang/Ten Foot Reach), and Matt Peterson is Flu’s current drummer, adding a unique dynamic to the band’s recent affiliation with S.S.R and T.F.R.
Mike is a solid rhythm guitarist, crunching out thick riffs; accented by Jayme’s accompaniment—who is notorious for his harmonic squeals and dark leads. Denny’s bass riffs are highly energetic and diverse, adding a progressive element and often teaming with Matt’s drumming—driven by relentless double bass and explosive fills. As for Matt Peterson, the band’s newest addition, his hardcore vocal style roars with conviction, running high on adrenaline with a bone-chilling intensity.
